Health Science Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities:
Library technicians assist librarians in organizing collections, shelve books, manage circulation desks, answer patrons' questions, and perform administrative duties. Librarians select and acquire books, journals, and other library material.  They also establish electronic and digital database information systems.  They organize this information into collections and develop catalogs for access and provide reference assistance to patrons.  They coordinate and control budgets and supervise library technicians. 
Average Salary: $ 20,000 - $30,000 
Education:

You must need to earn a Bachelor’s degree or higher (computer science, information science, etc., preferred) or 4+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Critical skills include: the ability to function effectively in a collaborative and respectful team environment, self-direction, and a facility for cross-departmental and cross-campus communications. Qualifications include: experience with data interchange and interoperability across a variety of systems including enterprise systems (preferably library systems and academic enterprise systems); knowledge of client server environments; ability to explain technical concepts to others.

I wouldn’t like to be a health science librarian because that’s not what I want to be for my future.
