Histology Specialists
Duties and
Responsibility:
Under the supervision of
laboratory technologists or physicians, histology technicians freeze and cut
thin tissue samples to analyze under a microscope. They secure the slice sample
on a slide and use specialized dyes to stain it, bringing out cellular structures
and allowing pathologists, physicians or research scientists to identify
abnormal cells and monitor cell function. Histology technicians must also be
familiar with many types of lab equipment and monitor it for signs of disrepair.
Education:
To become a histologist, students must either earn a
bachelor's degree that includes a one year clinical internship or complete a
long-term training program in a histopathology lab. They must also pass a

I would not like to be a Histology specialists because that’s not
my kind of thing I would like to be but I would love to learn about it .
